2019 Publishing Workshop

In May 2019, the School of Arts & Sciences hosted “Meet the Editors,” a publishing workshop designed to support faculty in the dissemination of their research and scholarship. During this workshop, guest editors Beatric Rehl and Aaron B. Johnson of Cambridge University Press–acquisitions editors in the humanities, STEM fields, and social sciences–coached faculty members preparing book and journal manuscripts for publication.  The workshop addressed a variety of topics ranging from how to approach a publisher, writing and submitting the book proposal, writing for academic journals, junior and mid-career publishing goals, revising the dissertation, the monograph and the eBook, and signing a contract, royalties, or copyright.
